APPLICATION
- Designed to test chain, ropes and any long specimens for proof test or destructive tensile test.
PRINCIPAL OF OPERATION
- The specimen is loaded by means of hydrostatically lubricated main cylinder and piston assembly
- The same oil is also transmitted to a dynamometer cylinder, which actuates the pendulum dynamometer assemble to indicate the load through rack, pinion and indicating pointer on a large analogue dial.
LOADING UNIT
- It comprises a robust fabricated frame on which is fixed the main cylinder piston assembly
- The moving crosshead assembly is connected to the piston through screwed columns which are driven by motor for rapid adjustment of crosshead to accommodate different test lengths
- Stationery crosshead can be pinned at an interval of 500mm along the length of loading frame
- All the crossheads are mounted on wheels for easy movement
- An elongation scale of 1mm least count is provided.
CONTROL PANEL
- It consists of power pack, hydraulic controls, pendulum dynamometer, load indicating system and autographic recorder
- The power pack is complete with oil tank, drive motor, pump, level indicator, etc.
- The pump is capable of generating non pulsating oil flow upto a pressure of 250 kgf / cm
- The hydraulic controls have hand control valves to get infinitely variable straining rate.
Load indicating system has a large dial and a pointer
